The Vine and the Muses: Wine, Wonder, and New Connections
We gather. We drink. We tell stories.
Last weekend, I hosted The Vine and the Muses at Hôtel Biron—an evening inspired by Greek wine bars, mythology, and the belief that adults deserve more opportunities to connect, play, and celebrate together.
The Inspiration
The idea was inspired in part by Rebel School of Wine by Tyler Balliet, where I learned about Dionysus, the Greek god of wine, celebration, theater, and human connection.
What I loved most was the idea that wine has always been about more than what's in the glass. It's about gathering people together, sharing stories, and creating memorable experiences.
When I started imagining the evening, I knew I wanted a venue that felt aligned with that spirit. Hôtel Biron turned out to be the perfect fit. As a cozy wine bar and art gallery, it sits at the intersection of wine, creativity, and community.
The Evening
Guests arrived as Muses, Goddesses, Nymphs, and Gods. Throughout the evening, we shared toasts, traded stories, enjoyed live music and a little magic, and played both the original version of 86'd and a special mythology-inspired edition I created just for the occasion.
Inspired by Greek mythology, the Muses, and Dionysus himself, the custom deck encouraged guests to spark conversations, share stories, celebrate one another, and embrace a little playful mischief along the way.
My favorite part wasn't the theme or the activities—it was watching strangers become friends.
People pulled up chairs, joined conversations, shared stories, and spent a few hours being a little more playful than adult life usually allows.
That's the kind of experience I hope to create more of: spaces where curiosity is encouraged, conversation comes easily, and connection happens naturally.
A huge thank you to Hôtel Biron and to everyone who helped bring the evening to life.
If you're curious about the inspiration behind the evening, I highly recommend Rebel School of Wine.
Until the next gathering. 🍷✨
