Notes From the Slower Side of the Internet

Lately I’ve been craving a quieter internet.

Not disappearing-into-the-woods quiet — just a space where you don’t have to dodge ten pieces of content before your first sip of water. TikTok is starting to feel like QVC in athleisure, and somewhere between the lip gloss and aura serums, I realized I wasn’t actually feeling anything. Just scrolling.

Hi, I’m Terilyn. I love play, curiosity, community, and baking cinnamon rolls. I create things that bring people together — my card game 86’d, dinner parties that turn into performance art, and little social experiments across San Francisco.

This corner is different. This is where I let things slow down. Where I practice writing — not as a content machine, but as a human who likes noticing things: tiny details, funny moments, thoughts that linger.

Here you’ll find stories from life in San Francisco, creative experiments (both wins and disasters), what I’m baking or learning, and small moments that feel like a reminder to be human.

I want this space to feel like a deep breath. Like saying good morning to a neighbor just because it feels good. A place where you don’t have to optimize yourself, where curiosity gets room to stretch.

Thanks for being here. It already feels calmer with you in the room.

– with curiosity, connection, and a whole lot of fun,
t.
